Jari Liimatainen, PhD
Chairman of the Board
Dr Jari Liimatainen is chairman of the board since January 2020 and one of the founding partners of the company. Has worked in various senior management positions in technology, business development and administration in international corporations in Finland (Rauma, Metso corporation) and abroad. Founding partner and board member in several high technology startup companies in Finland and abroad related to battery technology, recycling, materials solutions & wear parts for mining and metallurgy industry, powder metallurgy, nanotechnology and thin film processing. Management advisor and consultant for several global companies. Member of Finnish Academies of Technology and docent in engineering materials. Holds several patents in materials processing, materials science and related applications. Currently serving as CEO and board member of battery technology startup Pulsedeon Oy.
Seppo Siljama
Board member
Seppo has been working in banking since 1978. He started his career at Kansallis-Osake-Pankki (now a part of Nordea) and, among other things, was the head of its London branch. Later, he founded PCA Corporate Finance and was its managing partner until it was sold in 2005. Seppo has gained substantial experience from complex M&A transactions that require experience-based knowledge of different options. Furthermore, he has extensive contact network in Russia and Japan. Seppo holds an L.L.M from the University of Helsinki.

Ville has a M. Sc. (tech) in the field of Engineering Physics with a major in Biomedical Engineering and minor in Applied Physics. He has wide experience in the use and development of pulsed laser deposition process since 2004, as well as in materials development and characterization including for example LIB materials, gas-sensing layers, tribology coatings, high-temperature super conductors, and magnetic shape memory materials.
Marianne Talvitie, Ph. Lic.
Board member
Marianne Talvitie has a Ph. Lic. in theoretical physics. Currently working in medtech. Previous position in international business development at high-tech company Vacuumschmelze GmbH & Co. KG with focus on special materials and inductive components. Worked earlier in various technology development positions in telecom, superconductors, and measurement systems.

Lars Pleth Nielsen, PhD
Member of the Scientific Advisory Board
Lars Pleth Nielsen has a PhD degree in surface science and a business degree in organization, management and innovation. Currently the Director of the Tribology Centre, Danish Technological Institute leading a coating business unit doing R&D and job coating. He has initiated more than 35 granted R&D projects over the past 15 years, and has worked in the area of surface science for more than 25 years. He has written the most comprehended two volume book on “Advanced Surface Technology” that has been written the past 40 years, according the National Association of Surface Finishing (NASF-USA). He has a huge network all over Europe to companies and universities. He has solid experience in thin film coatings based on PVD/CVD and ion implantation, 4 years in photonics, optic and thin film technologies and 6 years in catalysis.
